Let us introduce you to our senior ministry here at Harvestland Ministries, we call ourselves “The Caleb Generation” after the Bible character, Caleb, who continued serving god at 80 years old and beyond. We have been together fourteen years.
The purpose of our group is to encourage men and women age 55 and up to do all we can to serve Christ and each other as long as we can and to enjoy ourselves doing it.
We serve each other when in need: loving, listening, praying and comforting. We share a love of God with others, we go to a nursing home four times a year as a group singing, praying, encouraging and sharing God’s love and salvation as well as treats and gifts with the residents.
Our meetings are once a month on the fourth Monday 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Meetings are temporarily being held at Sheffield Estates clubhouse, 165 S.Opdyke in Auburn hills, pending the completion of our new church.
At the meetings we enjoy each other’s company, sharing our needs and praying for them. We celebrate the birthdays of the month, plan any future activities, and eat the wonderful finger foods that everyone brings. We are a loving and caring group. Come and join us.
