Ladies Fellowship - January 2009
Happy New Year!!
Our devotional this month was about finding more time for God to be able to build a closer relationship with Him and becoming active in your church family. At a time when we usually are making ‘resolutions’ to quit something, instead make resolutions to do something and find out the many ways God can bless you.

Ladies Fellowship - March 2009
We’re celebrating right now as we wait for our new Pastor to take his position as Senior Pastor at Harvestland. It’s an exciting time as we may feel like we’re coming out of the ‘desert’ and finding what God has been preparing us for. It’s a time when those who have been wearing many hats in the church may feel like they’re ready to share some of the load. Our church is growing and there are many willing servants coming into the church. So if you’re someone who has been serving in ministry for a while, don’t be afraid to ask for help, you never know what gifts God has given to your brothers and sisters in Christ. And for those who have not served yet, do not be afraid when God calls you to serve, He fully equips you for that service!
Ladies Fellowship - April 2009
This month we talked about humility and what it isn’t! I know I sometimes forget what it is to be humble and need to be reminded. Humility isn’t devaluing our selves, doubting our abilities or denouncing who we are. Instead it’s measuring our selves with Christ, being conscious of our need for God and being honest with our selves. Thank you to all the ladies who came today, we had a wonderful time.
Ladies Fellowship - May 2009
This was our annual Mothers’ Day lunch which I look forward to so much. There is always so much love as mothers, daughters, grandmothers and great-grandmothers come together to celebrate.
Our message today was a very personal one. My grandmother was my ‘mom’ and she raised me from birth. What sacrifices this lady made me for me. I was very blessed to have her in my life. I wanted this message to not just touch the mothers in the room but also to those very special spiritual mothers too. These ladies step into the lives of others who need a mom (and who don’t have one for whatever reason). They give them the love and care that they would not normally receive. My gran passed away a few years ago but I am so grateful for the few ladies that God has brought into my life at this church who are moms to me!
We had excellent food, thanks again Mary you’re the best, thanks to Rita too. We played a few silly games that got us all laughing. The children were looked after by our ‘Friends’ class (6th-8 th grade girls) who made little gifts with them to give to mom. We had a lovely time, thanks to everyone who came.
This was my final meeting as ladies ministry leader. I have been honored to serve you for the past 3 years and thank you for your support and love. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for us!
